Verge Motorcycles Gifts Two Custom Electric Superbikes

In a significant charitable gesture, Verge Motorcycles has constructed two distinct bikes to contribute to the philanthropic endeavors of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. One of these exceptional superbikes will be featured as the star prize at the foundation’s golf tournament in September.

Verge Motorcycles, a trailblazer in the realm of electric superbikes, recently launched its premier flagship store in Monaco. Now, it’s donating two exclusively designed electric superbikes to the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. Dressed in unique red and white fairings, the bikes are a contribution to the globally active foundation’s charity initiatives.

Monaco, being the location of our inaugural physical store, holds significant importance to us as a key Southern European base. We aimed to express our support for local philanthropic activities in a unique manner. The superbikes we’ve donated to the foundation are our way of bolstering their crucial charity work,” states Henri Vähäkainu, Verge Motorcycles’ Chief Commercial Officer.

Established in 2012, the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation is dedicated to creating a safe environment where children from all walks of life can flourish and learn mutual coexistence. The foundation drives numerous charitable projects globally, focusing on preventing drowning incidents and imparting values to children through sports. “Our foundation’s work is a long-term commitment, and we’re always open to forging new partnerships. Collaborating with a trailblazer like Verge is a rewarding experience. The donated bikes are distinctive and will contribute significantly to a worthy cause,” says Gareth Wittstock, Secretary General of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.

One of the superbikes gifted by Verge will serve as the grand prize at the Princess of Monaco Cup charity golf tournament, organized by the foundation in September. This unique prize is expected to boost fundraising efforts for the tournament, which targets top-tier sports personalities. In 2019, the tournament raised a remarkable 330,000 euros for charity, and this year the foundation aspires to surpass its previous record.

Finnish F1 driver Valtteri Bottas, a devoted Verge fan, got a chance to showcase one of the special superbikes during the renowned Monaco Grand Prix. Bottas, currently driving for the Alfa Romeo team, has been an ambassador for the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation since February.

Expressing his excitement, Bottas says, “I am thrilled about the shared charitable vision of Verge and the Princess Charlene Foundation. As a charity ambassador for the foundation and an ardent Verge fan, it was an honor and pleasure to present this incredible Finnish innovation during the Monaco GP week.”
